He worked his way up from a Mountain Man to become an American Politician. Davy Crockett ran away from home at the young age of 13. He was a wildling who became widely known as an expert marksman and hunter. After serving in the American Military in 1815 the King of the Wild Frontier wanted to embark on a Legislative career and he succeeded. In 1818 he was appointed County Justice of the Peace and a few years later he had become a member of the U.S House of Representatives for Tennessee.
